I am using Color the Gray in Light Brown to cover and condition my hair...it keeps the gray covered a bit longer than toxic dyes and the hair feels thicker and healthier...I will use nothing else..I love it

I've been using "Color the Gray" in black for about a year. Before that I used other home coloring kits, but I started noticing a lot of hair loss and thinning, and my hairdresser strongly advised me to stop coloring. My hair is dark brown with about 20 percent gray. "Color the Gray" does a good job of covering the gray. It looks more blondish than black or dark brown, but I don't think it is possible to get a true black or dark brown from any henna product, as I have tried many others. The fine hair around the hairline turns out the best, with fair results at the top of the head. It will start fading within three weeks so if you want to maintain the same color be prepared to use it at least once a month. It does take a while to wash it out and the whole process can be a bit messy, so make sure you do this in an area that's easy to clean up afterwards. I use the kitchen sink since it's stainless steel. Depending on your hair length it is possible to get more than one use from the 7-oz package, making this a bargain compared to other products. My hair is in better condition now than it's been in years.
