red henna from rainbow research

Fox I absolutely love henna!! I have been using it for over 20 years. It leaves a beautiful soft red color, not harsh, and it is easy to wash out this way: apply henna. When you rinse it out, fill sink basin with warm water and rinse. After that I fill a large cup with warm water and pour it over my hair over the sink basin. Continue this cup rinsing until the henna mud is rinsed out. Then I wrap my hair in a towel (since I have very long hair). Use old towel, some color may transfer. After lightly towel drying, I brush out my hair and I am ready to go. It is so natural that people always ask me if I have red or auburn hair, and my hair it a dark brown. I love it and would never switch! Buy the way, if you mix it with cinnamon or red herbal tea, it smells great and leaves the scent on your hair for days even if you wash hair daily like I do.
Fabulously non-fading and vibrant hair color!
I am a professional cosmetologist and have been Red Henna for almost a year. I have never had so many compliments on my color until I started using this product. I am naturally a medium to dark ash blonde. The Red Henna turns my hair a shiny, bright, reddish copper shade that my clients absolutely love, and to top it off, most of the time people thinks the color is natural! I think the most amazing thing though is that it DOES NOT FADE! (The biggest problem with red hair dye is getting it to last.) I never have to freshen up my ends and it never looses it's shine. I used to change my color ever couple of months, but now I just can't bring myself to do it.
You will love this!
I have tried a few brands of henna, but so far this is the best. I got great "Irish red" highlights in my medium dark brown hair. My hair felt soft and great. There is a downside though--I found that this brand had a slightly sea-like smell (admittedly I do add an egg to it) that stayed with my hair for a few days. It isn't awful, but a little odd. Try adding a little dab of rose oil to it to ease the scent. :)
DUNK--don't spray--to rinse
Henna can be hard to get out. But the key is to DUNK your head in a big sink of water, swirl your head around a bunch, and take your fingers and run them through your hair. Empty and rinse the sink and then re-fill it. Dunk again, repeating the entire process. Then wash your hair as usual and use a conditioner. Dunking works much better to get the henna out than taking a shower or just washing your hair. But, trust me, the results are well worth the dunkings and washings. I'm a "henna-a-holic" and I've had more compliments on my hair since I began using it than I can count!
Exciting and Healthy Hair!!
I have been using Henna (Rainbow Research) for many years and I love it!! Henna changes the color of my hair enough to be exciting, but instead of damaging my hair, Henna conditions hair to be shiny and soft!! No more dry, straw-like hair! Also, because this product is heat activated, each time you dry your hair, it seems to spring to life again! The only potential problem with Henna: you can't dye over it and you can't perm over it. So once you've used Henna on your hair, thats that. Its shiny and exciting, but permanent.
I think the product is great.
This product has a very unique outlook. I would suggest this product to anyone.
