I have brown hair that I had previously dyed to cover my new grey. I started using henna when I realized that commercial hair dyes not only may harm me over years of use, but also that the animal testing diminishes life for everyone. Using Rainbow Henna feels good to me to cover my grey now and is in line with my awareness of doing my part to live in harmony with the planet. I want to encourage anyone to use this henna, as it's a rich, deep brown that completely covered my greying temples, giving highlights to the grey which appeared to be soft blond streaks when left on for the recommended time. The first few days the color was darkest, then after a few washes, it softened and was full of beautiful amber and brown-gold lights. I have very long hair, and now instead of breakage and damage due to the chemicals in commercial dyes I can look forward with this henna to years of lush, long hair and "natural beauty."
